Dear First Prez ʻOhana,

Great news! This morning, we informed the congregation at both services that Rev. Dr. Tim Fearer accepted the offer to be our Transitional Pastor! Tim was most recently the Transitional Pastor at Community Presbyterian Church in Ventura, California, and is targeted to join FPC on December 1, 2023!  Watch for more details about Tim in the future. 

We were also honored to welcome Mark Swarner, Chair of the Ministry Partnership Committee of our Bluewater Presbytery, who came to encourage us and provide more information and guidance as we prepare to take our next steps as a church family, including details about: 

• Our future relationship with Pastor Dan (as our retiring senior pastor),

• The role of a Transitional Pastor (and how it differs from our future Senior Pastor), and

• The role of the congregation as we transition from celebrating our retiring senior pastor, welcoming our new Transitional Pastor, and preparing in the future for our next senior pastor.

Mark, along with some of our Transition Team, were also on campus to host a Q&A session with our church family, in-person and online, following both worship services.
