About Our Transition Team.

Our Transition Team is formed and commissioned by Session, and will remain active throughout the entire transitioning process. The Transition Team is responsible for implementing and overseeing the entire transitioning process on behalf of Session.

The Role of FPC’s Transition Team:

  • Act on behalf of Session; FPC’s Executive Leadership team (ELT) determines when Session approval is required.

  • Create and guide/facilitate an effective process resulting from the retirement of the long-standing Senior Pastor to the placement and onboarding of the successor Senior Pastor.

  • Oversee and take responsibility for the success of the transition.

  • Identify and define specific “Milestones” required to achieve a successful “transition” (defined as now through first 180-365 days of employment of the Senior Pastor).

  • Facilitate the transition process through regular update meetings by Milestone Teams; arrange for support as needed.

  • Clearly communicate news & notices about our transition process to our First Prez ‘Ohana.
